Bequests to Princeton from 1994 through 2004

Princeton NJ -- Alumni and friends have generously supported the University through their wills and other estate plans since Princeton was founded in 1746.

In the past 10 years, the University received more than $200 million in bequests from 705 alumni, spouses, parents and friends. Nearly 50 percent of these bequests provided unrestricted support to the University, and these funds have been used to meet some of the University's most pressing needs, including scholarship support, campus improvement and faculty recruitment. Some donors prefer to designate their bequests for specific purposes.

Here is a snapshot of the top 10 areas that received support from bequests to Princeton from 1994 through 2004.
