Retiree Open Enrollment is Oct. 4-15

Princeton NJ -- The University’s retiree 2005 annual benefits open enrollment period is from Monday, Oct. 4, through Friday, Oct. 15, with changes effective Jan. 1, 2005.

During this time, retirees may change or waive their health plan coverage. Retirees also may remove dependents from their health care plan. If health care coverage is waived or if dependents are removed from the plan, re-enrollment at a later date is not permitted.

Retirees soon will be receiving information in the mail about the retiree health care plans. Pre-65 retirees currently enrolled in the Oxford Point-of-Service Plan should note that Oxford recently merged with UnitedHealthcare. Therefore, the Oxford Point-of-Service Health Plan will not be offered for 2005. The University is adding two new plans, the Aetna Point-of-Service and UnitedHealthcare Point-of-Service.

The Office of Human Resources will conduct presentations on the new point-of-service plans from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. on these dates: Wednesday, Oct. 6; Friday, Oct. 8; and Tuesday, Oct. 12. All sessions will take place on the seventh floor of New South except for the morning session on Oct. 12, which will be held in the Lyman Spitzer Building at the Princeton Plasma Physics Lab.

More detailed information is available on the Office of Human Resources Web site at <www.princeton.edu/hr/oe>, by calling the Human Resources Solution Center at 258-3300 or by sending e-mail to <hr@princeton.edu>.
