Melva Hardy (photo by Denise Applewhite)
Name: Melva Hardy.
Position: Operations administrator in University Health Services. Coordinating initiatives to review and improve procedures. Creating committees to develop new policies and disseminate them. Helping to select and implement the adoption of new computer software.
Quote: “I like implementing changes in a way so that people feel they’re part of the decision-making process, instead of the changes being handed down to them. If you bring everybody to the table, they’re more sensitive to how changes will affect others, and it’s easier for people to comply.”
Other interests: Singing with her church. Watching suspense movies. Traveling abroad, especially to Jamaica.
