Kane

Andrew Kane, director of housing at Cornell University’s Weill Medical College and Graduate School of Medical Sciences for the past six years, has been named director of housing at Princeton. His appointment is effective Oct. 10.

He will be responsible for all aspects of housing at the University, which includes dormitories for 4,700 undergraduates, 700 units of graduate housing and 600 units of faculty and staff housing. A key member of the facilities organization, he will report to Chad Klaus, general manager for services.

Kane has been a member of the housing staff at Cornell’s medical center in New York City, serving as assistant director from 1993 to 1999 and then as director. He has managed all assignments and operations for student and faculty housing, which consists of more than 1,000 residential units.

Kane’s previous positions include serving as associate director of summer programs for Barnard College and as state director of AFS International Programs in New York. A graduate of the College of William and Mary, he earned an MBA from Baruch College of the City University of New York. He also holds a graduate certificate in real estate from New York University.

Kane succeeds Tom Miller, who retired in July.
