- Subscriptions. The Bulletin is distributed free to faculty, staff and students. Others may subscribe to the Bulletin for $30 for the 2006-07 academic year (half price for current Princeton parents and people over 65). - Deadlines. In general, the copy deadline for each issue is the Friday 10 days in advance of the Monday cover date. The deadline for the Bulletin that covers Oct. 23-Nov. 5 is Friday, Oct. 13. Benefits update
Key health care plan changes for 2007
• A new online benefits system, eBenefits, has been implemented. Faculty and staff members can review their current benefit elections, covered dependents and beneficiaries; preview benefit costs; and make their 2007 benefit elections online. The system is available from 8 a.m. to midnight seven days a week by logging on from work or home.
• The University is eliminating the prescription drug plan deductible, effective Jan. 1, 2007. This is a savings of $115 for individual coverage and $230 for family coverage.
• The co-payments for generic prescription drugs will decrease in 2007 to $5 from $8 retail (30-day supply) and to $10 from $16 mail order (90-day supply). The co-payments for brand name and multi-source drugs will remain the same.
• There is a new definition of dependent child, which may provide for extended coverage to the end of the calendar year in which the child turns 25, regardless of student status. Review the Open Enrollment Guide for the new dependent child definition.
• The contribution rate for all coverage levels for the Aetna and UnitedHealthcare Point-of-Service (POS) and HMO health plans will be reduced.
• The plan design for the Aetna and UnitedHealthcare POS health plans will be changed to decrease:
— The annual out-of-network deductible to $900 individual/$1,800 family from $1,500 individual/$3,000 family.
— The annual in-network, out-of-pocket maximum to $1,500 individual/$3,000 family from $3,000 individual/$6,000 family.
— The annual out-of-network, out-of-pocket maximum to $4,500 individual/$9,000 family from $9,000 individual/$18,000 family.
• Participants in the UnitedHealthcare PPO plan with employee and child(ren) coverage will see a $2 per month reduction in their contribution rate, while all other coverage level options will see a $2 to $7 per month increase in their contribution rate.
• Members in the Vision Services Plan and the Aetna Dental Plans will see a slight increase in their contribution rates.
• Medco will be issuing new identification cards with a system-generated ID number. When employees receive the new ID card, they should destroy their current Medco ID card that starts with the letters “PU,” as it will no longer be valid. Employees should present the new ID card on their next visit to their pharmacy. The pharmacist will no longer be able to look up their account using the old Medco ID number.
