Ken Molinaro has joined the University as controller, succeeding Henry Murphy, who will serve as director of tax accounting until his retirement later this year. Molinaro comes to Princeton from New Jersey City University, where he served as associate vice president for finance and controller and as treasurer of the univer-sity's private foundation. The Office of the Con-troller is responsible for the preparation of Princeton's annual audited financial statements as well as financial and tax reports to various government agencies, including the Internal Revenue Service.
Molinaro also has held senior financial positions in the pharmaceutical business of United Health Group in Basking Ridge, N.J., and in the telecommunications industry at AirTouch Communications and Verizon Wireless in California, Georgia and New Jersey. In addition to his experience as a controller, he brings to Princeton a broad background in financial systems, governmental project accounting and operations. He has played a leadership role in several PeopleSoft and Oracle financial system implementations. "I am delighted to have a professional of Ken's depth and breadth of financial management experience join the administrative team at Princeton," said Treasurer Christopher McCrudden. "His extensive experience with both Oracle and PeopleSoft products should help ensure that we achieve maximum benefit and value from our investments in financial systems." Molinaro began his career on the audit staff at KPMG in New York, where he completed his CPA requirements. He earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Lehigh University and a master of business administration degree in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. |
