  • Deadlines. In general, the copy deadline for each issue is the Friday 10 days in advance of the Monday cover date. The deadline for the Bulletin that covers June 18-Sept. 9 is Friday, June 8. Spotlight

Name: Sherry Moore.

Position: Administrative assistant in the Office of Human Resources. Assisting general manager Fred Clarke and employee and labor relations managers with various tasks. Helping to administer the summer transfer program, which places union employees who work in facility staff services into other University positions for the summer. Setting up meetings and conferences. Answering questions from staff members of the University about the office’s services.

Quote: “I enjoy being a part of a team that comes up with solutions to make things better for staff, faculty and consequently the students. The office is a great learning environment.”

Other interests: Picking berries and making jams for the company she runs from her home, Dolly Draper Jams. Playing with her six grandsons. Serving as a deacon at Hope Cathedral in Jackson.

Effective May 1: in budget, sponsored research accounting manager John Floersch, after 31 years; in alumni and donor records, biographical records supervisor Nancy Long, after 36 years; in astrophysical sciences, data management support staff member Dianne Nunes, after 14 years; in engineering and construction, electrical technician Foster Stryker, after 36 years; in asset administration, assistant treasurer/director of investment administration John Sweeney III, after 38 years.
