Liz Ebel, a development office staff member for the past three years, has been promoted to director of leadership gifts.

She will be responsible for guiding the leadership gifts team as it raises funds for Princeton’s highest capital priorities and coordinates the work of capital volunteers.

Ebel joined the leadership gifts staff in 2003 and was promoted to senior associate director in 2005, coordinating Princeton’s capital fundraising efforts on the West Coast and in Asia. Since September, she has been serving as acting director of leadership gifts.

“Liz has demonstrated excellent management and administrative abilities,” said Michele Minter, director of development. “I am delighted that she has agreed to take on this important role.”

Before coming to Princeton, Ebel was a member of the development staff of the Lawrenceville School from 1996 to 2003. She earned her bachelor’s degree from George Washington University and currently is pursuing a master’s degree in education at the University of Pennsylvania.

Ebel succeeds Mary Baum, who is now associate dean of the faculty.
