Luncheon

Jacqueline Swain of the Teacher Preparation Program (l) received the President's Achievement Award from Robert Durkee, vice president for public affairs, during the annual Staff Recognition Luncheon. Swain was one of four winners of this award, which is designed to recognize exceptionally dedicated and successful members of the support and administrative staff with 10 or more years of service. The other three winners this year were Glenn Northey of the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department (below, r), Penny Malyszka of Forbes College and Arlene White of the Plasma Physics Lab. In addition to recognizing President's Award winners, the luncheon honors staff members who have reached 10 years and subsequent five-year milestones of employment at the University. Larry Davala of the Engineering School (below l) and Filip Forsbeck of Mail Services were honored this year for 40 years of service. (Photos by Denise Applewhite)
