Students and teachers come to campus for workshops and cutting-edge

region and beyond will be on campus for a wide range of summer programs,
which are led by University faculty, students and staff and are
designed to develop participants' skills and expose them to cutting-edge

Gifted musician, University
organist dies
6/14/04 -- David Messineo, a gifted musician who was principal University
organist at Princeton, died Friday, June 11, of an apparent heart
attack at his home in Shohola, Pa. He was 45.

named Princeton's vice president for administration
6/10/04 -- Mark Burstein, Columbia University's vice president for
facilities management, has been appointed Princeton University's
vice president for administration, effective Aug. 2. Burstein previously
served as Columbia's vice president for student services, and before
that as acting vice president for human resources.

Princeton University holds 257th Commencement
1,790 students awarded degrees
6/1/04 -- Princeton University awarded degrees to 1,104 undergraduates and 686 graduate students at its 257th Commencement today. In addition, the University conferred honorary doctoral degrees upon five individuals for their contributions in the fields of education, science, arts and humanities, philanthropy and civil rights.

Princeton offers admission to 11.9 percent of all applicants
4/1/04 -- Princeton University has offered admission to 1,631 students, 11.9 percent of the 13,690 applicants for the class of 2008. Acceptance letters were mailed to 1,050 students who applied through the regular decision process.
