Arun Gandhi, the grandson of spiritual leader and renowned peace advocate Mohandas Gandhi, is the founder of the MK Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence, which was founded by Arun Gandhi and his wife, Sunanda, in 1991 to promote and teach the philosophy and practice of nonviolence. The institute, based at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, sponsors workshops, lectures, and community outreach programs in an effort to foster peace.

The lecture is presented by the Third World Center and is open to the public.
