Name: Emily Aronson

Position: Media officer and special projects assistant in the Office of Communications. Assisting with media relations for the University by responding to inquiries from news reporters and writing and distributing press releases about University events and programs. Helping with media arrangements for large University events such as Commencement. Writing stories for the Princeton Weekly Bulletin and the homepage. Reviewing requests to feature the University in commercial movies and TV shows.

Quote: “I enjoy working at Class Day and Commencement. It’s such a happy time, and there’s always something exciting happening, like when Muhammad Ali was on stage at Commencement in 2007 to accept an honorary degree. I get to experience that as part of my job.”

Other interests: Spending time with her husband, Riley. Exploring shops and restaurants in Lambertville, N.J., where she lives. Taking walks on the Delaware and Raritan Canal towpath. Going dancing with friends.

Effective July 1: in design and construction, program manager Robert Barnett, after 15 years; in building services, lead janitor Vittorio Battaglia, after 26 years; in building services, janitor John Henderson Jr., after 24 years; in design and construction, construction manager Paul Irmen, after 13 years; in dining services, senior food service storekeeper Aubrey Liverman, after 24 years.

Effective Aug. 1: in central campus grounds, crew leader George Morgan, after 46 years.
