Name: Rose Rivera.

Position: Program manager in the Program in Latin American Studies. Responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the office. Supervising staff members. Overseeing the faculty summer grants application process, the fellows program and the summer research programs for graduate and undergraduate students. Handling budgeting and event logistics.

Quote: “I’ve worked at Princeton since 1971. I love my interactions with the students, staff and faculty in the program. And I get to meet so many interesting people — I just met the former president of Mexico.”

Other interests: Spending time with her husband, Israel; their son, Israel Jr.; and their two grandchildren, 12-year-old Christopher and 7-year-old Kathleen. Traveling to Puerto Rico to visit family members. Listening to salsa music. Cooking Puerto Rican food.
