Name: Jason Heleotis.

Position: Concession manager for Tiger Refreshments in Dining Services. Managing all aspects of food and beverage service at sporting events and special events. Hiring, training and supervising 35 event staff members. Tracking inventory. Ordering food and supplies. Overseeing food production, customer service and quality control during events.

Quote: “This position has afforded me the opportunity to work and interact with a diverse group of people, which I truly enjoy. I grew up in the concession business. My family has run concession stands on the boardwalk from Point Pleasant to Asbury Park since the 1930s, and I worked for them during the summer since I was 11.”

Other interests: Scuba diving. Backpacking and mountain biking. Traveling in Africa, the Caribbean, Mexico and South America.

Board approves three faculty promotions

The Board of Trustees has approved the promotions of three faculty members. All are effective July 1, 2009.

The faculty members and their departments, by the academic rank to which they are being promoted, are:

Associate professor (with continuing tenure) Daniel Oppenheimer, psychology and public affairs.

Assistant professor (for a three-year term) Alireza Golsefidy, mathematics; Claus Sorensen, mathematics.
