Name: Anna Gerwel.

Position: Undergraduate administrator in the Department of Comparative Literature. Helping undergraduates keep track of deadlines and other information pertaining to junior papers, senior theses, comprehensive exams and summer funding. Organizing receptions and events for undergraduates. Initiating a film series for students. Compiling the department’s first newsletter, to be published later this year.

Quote: “I enjoy working with the people in the comparative literature department. Their interests are so varied — Japanese music and art, French and African literature, and Arabic and Hebrew cultural studies. My passion is learning languages, and I have taken intensive language classes in French and Spanish at Princeton for several summers through the Graduate School.”

Other interests: Painting ceramics. Salsa dancing. Helping with Princeton’s Polish Club. Co-organizing the Princeton International Community, a new campus organization.
