King Abdullah II of Jordan delivering a public address at the University, and later meeting with students at a reception
Princeton NJ — King Abdullah II of Jordan delivered a public address at the University on Feb. 29, urging the United States to take a stronger role in helping to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and secure the future of the Middle East. Warning that time is running out to achieve peace in the Middle East, he stressed that the United States must help to reach an accord by the end of 2008.
Following his address in Richardson Auditorium, Abdullah met with Princeton students at a reception. The king’s visit to Princeton came between his meetings with U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in New York and with President Bush at the White House. For full coverage, visit www.princeton.edu/ main/ news/ archive/ S20/ 43/ 17M49/. (photo: Brian Wilson)
