Costume fitting for the “The Marriage of Figaro” (photo: Denise Applewhite)

Department of Music presents “The Marriage of Figaro”

The Department of Music will present a production of Mozart’s classic 18th-century comic opera, “The Marriage of Figaro,” featuring some of Princeton’s most talented student singers. To accommodate the numerous students interested in performing, many of the roles are double-cast.

Pictured here, senior Lily Arbisser (who is being assisted by costumer Marie Miller) is fitted for her costume for the role of Susanna, whose upcoming marriage to fellow servant Figaro drives the comedic tale of mistaken identity, disguises and seduction. “Figaro” will be performed at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, in Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall. Tickets are available through University Ticketing by visiting www.princeton.edu/utickets or calling 258-9220.

“The Intimates” (photograph of laundry floating through the sky) by sophomore Rachel Steinberg

Exhibition of photographs considers “What is Family? Princeton Views”

“What is Family? Princeton Views,” an exhibition of photographs depicting the powerful connective force of family, is on view through Feb. 28 in the Murray-Dodge Hall lobby.

“The Intimates,” a photo of laundry floating through the sky taken by sophomore Rachel Steinberg, is one of some 30 images by the members of the University community expressing views on family through various configurations and emotions — including trust, joy, sorrow, silliness, chaos, respect and love. The exhibition is sponsored by the Office of Religious Life, the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students, the Office of the Vice President for Campus Life, the Lewis Center for the Arts and The Daily Princetonian.

OSHA ensures access to employee records

Under a regulation of the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration, employers are required to make available upon request certain medical records and all exposure records of employees who are exposed to toxic substances or hazardous agents.

In compliance with this regulation, the University will provide the first copy of these records free to the employee or a representative to whom the employee has given specific written authorization. The regulation does not require that access be provided to the records of counseling, drug or alcohol abuse programs.

A written request must be submitted by the employee or authorized representative, along with proof of identity such as a driver’s license or University identification card. To ensure that the proper information is made available, the employee must provide his or her Social Security number.

Medical record request forms may be obtained from the Office of Employee Health, University Health Services, McCosh Health Center (258-5035). Exposure record request forms are available from the Office of Environmental Health and Safety at 262 Alexander St. (258-5294). Requests from former employees must be submitted to the Office of Human Resources, 1 New South (258-3300).

A copy of the regulation is available for review upon request at McCosh Health Center or environmental health and safety.
