Spotlight

Name: Karen Flamard.

Position: Cluster support specialist in the School of Engineering and Applied Science. Providing assistance to those using the computers and audiovisual equipment in the Friend Center. Helping professors prepare computer presentations. Serving as the computer support person for Dean Vincent Poor’s administrative staff.

Quote: “People come to me with any problems they have with computers. I like the people-to-people part of my job, and I don’t mind the machines. They kind of go with the territory.”

Other interests: Spending time with her adult daughters, Kate and Jennifer. Exploring local wineries in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Doing home renovation projects.

• The Bulletin is published weekly during the academic year, except during University breaks and exam weeks, by the Office of Communications. Second class postage paid at Princeton. • Subscriptions. The Bulletin is distributed free to faculty, staff and students. Others may subscribe to the Bulletin for $30 for the 2007-08 academic year ($18 for current Princeton parents and people over 65). • Deadlines. In general, the copy deadline for each issue is the Friday 10 days in advance of the Monday cover date. The deadline for the Bulletin that covers Oct. 8-14 is Friday, Sept. 28.
