  • Deadlines. In general, the copy deadline for each issue is the Friday 10 days in advance of the Monday cover date. The deadline for the Bulletin that covers Oct. 23-Nov. 5 is Friday, Oct. 13. Students launch English immersion program in China

By the end of summer his freshman year, Rory Truex started dreaming in Chinese. By the end of summer his junior year, he had made it possible for students in China to start dreaming in English.

For nearly a decade, Princeton’s Community-Based Learning Initiative (CBLI) has brought together students and community organizations for research projects on pressing issues such as poverty, criminal justice and environmental preservation.

HR classes connect staff with new skills, peer networks

Diane Griffiths used to struggle with delegating work to other people. After she enrolled in a series of learning and development classes given this year by the Office of Human Resources, she learned strategies for teaching skills to other staff members, and ways to step back and patiently manage their work, rather than intervene. Griffiths is one of 125 staff members enrolled in the Core Learning Curriculum and Management Development Certificate program, and the first to complete it.

Open enrollment gives employees opportunity to evaluate coverage

The annual benefits open enrollment period for the University’s health and welfare plans will run from Monday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct 27. Open enrollment offers faculty and staff an opportunity to review their current benefits and consider changes to their coverage that will become effective Jan. 1, 2007.

Mammography screening offered

Once again, the University is offering a mammography screening program for female faculty and staff members who are 35 years of age or older. The screening will be done at the University Medical Center at Princeton Monday through Friday, Oct. 23-27.
