Name: Bob Pazdan.

Position: Carpenter in the carpenter shop in grounds and building maintenance. Working on a variety of construction projects around campus, from installing new windows in Whig Hall to setting up the stage for commencement to repairing the clock on Nassau Hall. Now in his 26th year at Princeton, Pazdan said one of his most memorable jobs was cutting a trap door in the commencement platform for security reasons before President Clinton spoke at the ceremony in 1996.

Quote: "During reunions and commencement and all year long, our shop works together as a team to get the jobs done. It's almost like a family."

Other interests: Spending time with his wife, Nanci, daughter, Lisa, and two grandchildren, Kyle and Kelly. Taking winter vacations to ski in Vermont and summer vacations to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.


George Prosser, 66, a plumber at the Plasma Physics Lab, died May 22.

He began working at the University in 1984, and also taught second-year apprentices at Mercer County Community College.
