This issue of the Princeton Weekly Bulletin is the last of the academic year. The copy deadline for the first issue of 2000-01, which covers September 11 through 17, will be September 1.


The Bulletin is published weekly during the academic year, except during University breaks and exam weeks, by the Communications Office. Second class postage paid at Princeton. Permission is given to adapt, reprint or excerpt material from the Bulletin for use in other media.


Subscriptions. Anyone may subscribe to the Bulletin. Subscriptions for spring semester of the academic year 1999-2000 are $12 (half price for current Princeton parents and people over 65), payable in advance to Princeton University. Send check to Communications, Stanhope Hall. Members of the faculty, staff and student body receive the Bulletin without charge.

Profession honors catering Chef Larry

He's headed to Nashville, but not to pursue a musical career. Larry Frazer, catering chef for Dining Services, will be inducted into the American Academy of Chefs on July 29.
     "The academy is the honor society of the American Culinary Federation," says Frazer, who is known on campus as Chef Larry. There are only about 500 current members; 15 people will be inducted this year, including famed French chef Paul Bocuse. [>>more...]


   

Robinson-Brown to direct Communications

Lauren Robinson-Brown, a member of the Class of 1985, has been appointed Director of Communications, effective mid-August.
     An award-winning journalist, former communications director for the NJ Department of State and currently that department's second-ranking official, she succeeds Justin Harmon, who left earlier this spring to accept a position at Wesleyan University. [>>more]

APT develops processes that span boundaries

Since 1994 the Administrative Process Team (APT) has been addressing University needs and developing solutions to cross-departmental issues and opportunities.
     At the urging of President Shapiro, the APT was originally conceived of by the Vice President for Finance and Administration, Provost's Office and Office of Human Resources, and was envisioned as a means of harnessing staff talent and creativity with management tools to tackle projects that span departmental boundaries.
