Princeton University Art Museum Docents Plan Special Tours for Black History Month

PRINCETON -- The Docent Association of The Art Museum, Princeton University, will offer a special day of tours of the exhibition "Selections: Contemporary Art by African-American Artists" on Thursday, February 3, 2000, to celebrate the beginning of Black History Month.

The tours, which are free and open to the public, will be led by Museum docents. Held every hour on the hour beginning at noon, they will begin with a tour by Didi Waltman, followed by Dorothy Davis, Pete Brower, Maxine Lampert, and Patti Kolodny.

Cider and donuts will be served in the lobby area of McCormick Hall, the entrance to The Art Museum.

The Art Museum is open to the public without charge. Free highlights tours of the collection are given every Saturday at 2 p.m. The Museum is open

Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. It is closed on Monday and major holidays. The Museum Shop closes at 5 p.m.
