Austria's Minister of Foreign Affairs to Speak on International Diplomacy

Princeton, NJ -- Ambassador Albert Rohan, permanent undersecretary of state for the Austrian ministry for foreign affairs, will speak on "International Diplomacy at Work: The European Union, the Balkans, and Iran" at Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs on Wednesday, October 27, at 4:30 p.m. in Robertson Hall, Dodds Auditorium.

Rohan joined the Austrian diplomatic service in 1963. His previous posts include serving as first secretary, counselor, and finally consul-general of the Austrian embassy in London; director of the executive office of the UN Secretary General in New York; ambassador in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay; and national coordinator for the Central European Initiative. He has been a member of high-ranking diplomatic delegations in Belgrade, Kosovo, Iran, and other areas of conflict.

The lecture is cosponsored by the University's Liechtenstein Research Program on Self-Determination.
