Information Technology Expert to Speak on ``The Evolving Role of the Lobbyist''

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Kenneth R. Kay, an expert on information technology issues and the executive director of the CEO Forum on Education and Technology, will speak on ``The Evolving Role of the Lobbyist in Modern Washington, D.C.'' at Princeton Universityís Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs on Tuesday, February 2, at 4:30 p.m. in Robertson Hall, Bowl 1.

Kay, who is also the president and founder of Infotech Strategies, has been a major voice promoting the importance of information technology applications and development of digital content in areas such as health care, education, electronic commerce, and government services. He provides strategic and tactical advice to the CEOs of companies in various areas of the information technology industry, helping them define their visions for the national and global information infrastructure. He also provides advice and counsel to a group of executives working to integrate technology into the nationís public school system.

He was previously a principal of Podesta Associates, Inc., a Washington DC-based government and public relations firm specializing in high-technology issues, and before that was a partner in the Washington, D.C., law firm of Preston Gates Ellis & Rouvelas Meeds. He spent more than a decade on Capitol Hill, serving as legislative director to Sen. Max Baucus, counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee, and legislative assistant to Congressman Ed Koch.
