Bioethics Forum Sponsors Faculty/Student Discussion
on Cloned Sheep
Princeton, N.J.--The Student Bioethics Forum of Princeton University
is sponsoring a discussion among two faculty experts and students
tonight, March 3, on "Dolly the Cloned Sheep." The discussion with be
held at 9:30 p.m. in the Whig Hall Senate Chamber.
The faculty participants are Molecular Biology Professor Lee Silver,
who was quoted extensively in the Feb. 24 New York Times
article that announced the cloning, and Norman Fost, who is the
visiting Decamp Professor of Bioethics at the Woodrow Wilson School
of Public and International Affairs.
According to Bioethics Forum president Erica Seiguer, who will
moderate, the event will focus on the meaning of this advance in
scientific technology, ethical issues involved, and "Is this 'Brave
New World' or just hype."
