Bostis to Speak on ''Race, Political
Strategy, and Representation''

Princeton, N.J.--David Bositis, senior research associate at
the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies in
Washington, D.C., will speak on ``Race, Political Strategy
and Representation: Majority-Minority Districts in a
Responsible Party Era'' at Princeton University's Woodrow
Wilson School of Public and International Affairs on Tuesday,
Nov. 14, at 4:30 p.m. in Room 3, Robertson Hall.

Bositis, whose current research focuses on political trends
among black people, including black conservatism and black-
white trends in public opinion on affirmative action, is the
author of several books, including _The Congressional Black
Caucus in the 103rd Congress and Research Designs for
Political Science: Contrivance and Demonstration in Theory
and Practice_. He is also the author of numerous articles.

His talk is being sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School.
