Afghan leaders available for interviews Feb. 25

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Afghan government, civic and cultural leaders visiting Princeton University this weekend will be available to speak to reporters 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25 in 012 Bendheim Hall on the Princeton campus.

The leaders include:

Paul Bucherer, director of The Afghanistan Institute and Museum and leader of the effort to reconstruct the Buddha statues of Bamiyan, which were destroyed by the Taliban.

Nisama Danishyar, cultural attaché to the Afghan consulate in Mashhad, Iran.

Mohammed Gardezi, former Afghan minister of agriculture (1997-2001).

Zemaray Hakimi, Afghan construction entrepreneur, currently in Switzerland.
