Mr. Rumsfeld was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1932. He attended Princeton University on scholarship (AB, 1954), served in the U.S. Navy (1954-57) as a Naval aviator and was an All Navy Wrestling Champion. He was previously the 13th Secretary of Defense, the youngest in our country's history (1975-1977).
